Obama and the Peace Prize

Well, it has been a while since I have last made a post. Since I am now in high school, I'm taking a journalism class and wrote a piece for the editorial section about President Obama winning the Nobel Peace Prize, which is complete madness. During President Ronald Reagan's tenure, the U.S. was in the middle of the Cold War and the Soviet Union's possession of nuclear arms was a major threat to Western civilization. President Reagan was able to successfully reduce the amount of nuclear arms in the world, end the Cold War, and re-unite Germany without using military force. The late President was never given the prize.
During part of Vice President Joe Biden's tenure in the Senate, he served as chairman of the Senate Committee on Foreign Relation, the very purpose of the committee is to negotiate with foreign powers and avoid military use. Now, why hasn't the VP been recognized for his work?
Also, if you will remember in August, President Bill Clinton was sent to North Korea to negotiate with Kim Jong-il and secure the return of the two American journalists who were held hostage.
Now, the last President to receive the Nobel Peace Prize was Jimmy Carter, and it seems that every U.S. President that least deserves the Prize is awarded it. If Barack Obama gets the prize for what he will do ,then, as Gov. Mike Huckabee, R-Arkansas, says "where is my Nobel Prize for what I might do?"

Obama Heathcare

Well, this is my first post of what I hope is many, and I'll set the tone by writing about President Barack Obama's Socialized Health Care Plan, which the Congressional Budget Office has predicted will cost the U.S. taxpayers between 1 and 1.6 trillion dollars, which is unsustainable, not to mention the already huge amount of debt he has given us, which is more debt per every president from Washington to George W. Bush combined, and it's only been five months today since the Inauguration! The point is that not only is this health reform too expensive but it will also ruin the best health care system in the world! Right now the reason America has the best health system is because we thrive on a free market system and public competition based on traditional capitalistic ideas; now if you look at Canada or the United Kingdom for an example you will find only failure and utter stupidity. In the U.K. right now, women with advanced breast cancer can not get the treatments they need because the British government has decided that it's too expensive and the women will die anyway, that's a death sentence! With the health reform there will be no incentive for people to go to medical school because doctors will no longer receive good pay do to the lack of competition in the health industry, resulting in a lack of doctors and skilled medical personnel. To take action to stop the Obama Health Plan, you need to contact your Senator and Congressman or Congresswoman and tell them to vote NO.
